Bush had tears in his eyes during an hour-long tour of Israel's Holocaust memorial Friday and told Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice that the U.S. should have bombed Auschwitz to halt the killing, the memorial's chairman said.
[The fool is an embarrassment -- What, only men can 'tear up'?]
Not qualified to lead
– It’s clear that the end is very much in sight. … It won’t be long. It, it’ll be a fairly short period of time. [ABC, 4/9/03]
[John McCain, who experts agree is only 2 IQ points above Bush - but who will be the Republican nominee - was a total fool, and simply, just another one of the sheep, in the Iraq war disaster. Someone in the 'liberal media' needs to start reminding our ignorant populace of McCain's real record on Iraq before we totally fuck up again]
A deranged view of freedom
"Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do."
[Typical phony-conservative view of what freedom is. Be scared, do as you are told, bend over and act like sheep]
It's the economy, stupid
NEW YORK (AP) -- Wall Street plunged again Friday amid renewed fears that the financial sector's troubles with bad credit won't soon end and that some consumers are buckling under the weight of a slowing economy. The major indexes each lost more than 1 percent, including the Dow Jones industrials, which finished down nearly 250 points.
When Bush's economy tanks ...
Even Hillary could be a shoo-in
...If she could announce the hiring of her old man's Treasury Secretary, Robert Rubin.
You too, Barack -- give Rubin a call.
Hey, I read that somewhere
A dramatic showdown at sea. Crossed communication signals. Apparently-hostile craft nearby. Sketchy intelligence leading to ratcheted up rhetoric. The similarities between this week's confrontation between US warships and Iranian speedboats and events off the coast of North Vietnam 44 years ago were too hard for many experts to miss, leading to the question: Is the Strait of Hormuz 2008's Gulf of Tonkin?
['Experts'? Funny, I read that analogy earlier this week]
"Deadly Echoes of Foreign Battles"
The New York Times found 121 cases in which veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan committed a killing in this country, or were charged with one, after their return from war.

Love Story
The results from Tuesday night breathed new life into the Clinton and McCain campaigns less than a week after the two candidates placed third and fourth respectively in the Iowa caucuses.
[Oh, Hillary]
What's the hurry, George?
Bush finally visits Israel
George W Bush's first presidential visit to the Palestinian Authority (PA) and Israel has proceeded as expected, bereft of new initiatives that could move the peace process forward. Amidst the schmooze of the first day's festivities in Jerusalem on Wednesday, which included an embarrassing recitation of the president's supposed virtues by Israeli Premier Ehud Olmert - engendering considerable mirth in the local press - there were no signs that the Bush administration is willing to play a clear and determined role in nascent negotiations.
Recyled Republican corruption
WASHINGTON — When the top federal prosecutor in New Jersey needed to find an outside lawyer to monitor a large corporation willing to settle criminal charges out of court last fall, he turned to former Attorney General John Ashcroft, his onetime boss. With no public notice and no bidding, the company awarded Mr. Ashcroft an 18-month contract worth $28 million to $52 million.
Going to blow!
Ecuador's Tungurahua volcano is poised for a major eruption, a volcanologist said Wednesday. Authorities last week evacuated 10 villages from its western slopes as a precaution. Patricia Mothes, a U.S. expert on volcanoes, said the 16,575-foot volcano, located 80 miles southeast of Quito, "is preparing to generate, in days or weeks, a great eruption."
Not fooling these guys
A new survey of U.S. adults who don't go to church, even on holidays, finds 72% say "God, a higher or supreme being, actually exists." But just as many (72%) also say the church is "full of hypocrites."

The Limbaugh Award
Wow, was it ever a big week for liars! Of course, there was 'Mr. Straight Talk' and his lie and attempt to cover up his pork-barrel spending. There was 'Mr. 9/11', once again lying about his true role in that disaster. But ladies and gentlemen, it wasn't just a 'big' week for liars -- it was a disastrous week for the biggest liar in the country ... the infamous namesake of this prestigious award for pathological liars, Mr. Oxycontin Pig-Boy, the three-time married, three-time divorced, suspected pedophile - but still idolized by evangelicals and other wingnut inbreeds - Mr. Rush Limbaugh, who ran away with this week's award.
Limbaugh, completely embarrassed in front of his herd of ditto-head sheep this week for his prediction of Hillary Clinton's certain demise -- so embarrassed in fact, he was relegated back to his old drug-induced, paranoid schizophrenic days of imaginary Clinton conspiracies -- had a very bad week, even by his standards.
But Rush's nonsense about imported Hillary voters wasn't the lie 'the Committee' chose him for this week. That lie came from his Monday, 1/7, radio show when he told his flock another Barack Obama lie. Here's what Limbaugh said;
'... if you look at the legislative record of Barack Obama, "you won't find a Senate bill with his name on it."Now, here are the FACTS about Barack Obama's 'legislative record', provided by Media Matters.
Obama was the primary sponsor of a bill in the 109th Congress (S.2125) to "promote relief, security, and democracy in the Democratic Republic of Congo," which was signed into law by President Bush on December 22, 2006.
In addition, Obama was a key co-sponsor of the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (S.2590), also of the 109th Congress. In a statement while signing the bill into law on September 26, 2006, Bush recognized Obama as a sponsor of the legislation, saying: "I want to thank the bill sponsors, Tom Coburn from Oklahoma, Tom Carper from Delaware, and Barack Obama from Illinois." Moreover, in a press release upon Senate passage of the bill, the bill's primary sponsor, Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK), referred to the legislation as the "Coburn-Obama Bill." Indeed, media reports have even referred to the bill as the "Coburn-Obama legislation."
In the 110th Congress, Obama has so far introduced 55 bills for which he is the primary sponsor.
That was a very easy selection for the Committee for this week's Limbaugh Award.
When the lying pig boy can unabashedly state that not a single Senate bill has Obama's name on it and the facts are that there are close to 60 in just the last three years that do, it's not a tough choice.
Congratulations, El Drugbo -- You won your own award again and you're #46!
