What about that 'permission slip', George?

President Pervez Musharraf warned that U.S. troops would be regarded as invaders if they crossed into Pakistan's border region with Afghanistan in the hunt for al-Qaida or Taliban militants, according to an interview published Friday.

"If they come without our permission, that's against the sovereignty of Pakistan. I challenge anybody coming into our mountains," he said in the interview in the garrison city of Rawalpindi. "They would regret that day."
Every time I read of another situation where our brilliant commander-in-chief is once again smacked down in our nation's real 'war on terror', I always think about his line in the 2004 SOTU address; "America will never seek a permission slip to defend the security of our people."

Our country desperately needs new leadership that is intelligent enough not to lead us away from our real enemies and who is not soft on those who harbor them.
