Barack Obama will not 'seek a permission slip'

He will pursue the real terrorists

Every one is so shocked ... Barack Obama wants to go after the terrorists that actually attacked us on 9/11 and wingnuts are shocked?

What the hell ever happened to all that rightwing Chickenhawk bravado? Remember all that tough talk, "America will never seek a permission slip" , and 'You are either with us or against us'?

Haven't you grown tired of this administration's excuses when it comes to Saudi Arabia and Pakistan? Why does Bush now seek a 'permission slip' from Pakistan to pursue the actual terrorists who planned and executed 9/11?

You're not shocked that we have 160,000 troops patrolling the streets of Iraq refereeing 1,400 year old disputes that have absolutely nothing to do with us, but you're shocked that Barack Obama would send Special Forces into western Pakistan to kill bin Laden, al-Zawahiri and a few thousand of their closest associates?

Barack Obama is right. We are NOT required to ask permission to go after those who attacked us, regardless of where they are 'holed-up'.

And of course, Obama does have a excellent track record when it comes to good judgment.

But, unfortunately it doesn't mean much to have strong progressive talk on doing the right thing with the real 'war on terror' when there's still a year and half left of the Bush administration.

It has been a long time since we've done the right thing on the 'war on terror' - almost 53 months now wasted in Iraq - But maybe some real leadership in early 09 can get us back on track. We know the current assholes in charge, and the wimps who have followed them, sure won't.
