undone that
The url to this blog is '15seats.blogspot'. Some of you may remember when it went by that name, '15 Seats'. Most of you don't.
I began this blog in late July 2006, a little more than three months before the 2006 election. By July 2006 the country had endured five years and seven months of George W. Bush and 11 years and seven months of both Houses of Congress led by Republicans. I know...'things were so good then...' Shut-up, you know that's a bunch of bullshit!
But on November 7, 2006 Democrats needed to win 15 seats to take control of the House of Representatives. They won 30. And Democrats shocked the world and also won six Senate seats to tie Republicans 49-49, and take 'control' of the Senate. It didn't shock me quite so much since I predicted all six of those seats two months before the election.
So what do you do with a name like '15 Seats'? You change it to 'done that'. And when you lose 75 or more seats four years later you change it again to, undone that. And no, I won't re-name it, 39 Seats.
