King of Pork Dead in Crash
Ted Stevens, who helped shape modern Alaska with federal laws and billions in federal dollars but whose 40-year Senate career ended ignominiously when he was narrowly defeated for re-election in 2008 after a corruption conviction that was later voided, died Monday in a plane crash in southwest Alaska. He was 86.
Ted Stevens, the longest serving Republican Senator ever, and of course without saying, the undisputed 'King of Pork', was a true legend in Alaska for bringing home the bacon. Both a mentor and obviously a huge influence on the 'Pork Princess' - seen in their big spending and propensity for lying and corruption - Stevens was yet another reminder that when they say, 'conservative', they don't really mean, 'conservative'.

Unless of course, you're just using the word to describe a mean old prick.
