Ooh...The Big, Bad Terrorists
'Fortunately for the prosecution, [Khalid-Sheikh] Mohammed actually admitted to al-Jazeera television that he was the prime architect of the suicide attacks on the US before he was captured in Pakistan in March 2003...'
The frightened and whiny wingnuts are scared shitless that they'll attack us again if we try KSM in New York. Wimps. And I never hear anyone - including the families of the almost 3,000 victims - ask why have we had KSM in custody for almost seven years and we haven't tried and executed his ass yet? At least the process will get started now. We cannot let the scared and the weak dictate our plan for justice for these mass murdering thugs. It's too bad we've wasted all those years.
Hey get that towel head!
'Alexios Marakis, a Greek Orthodox priest visiting the U.S., got lost in Tampa and tried to stop and ask directions from Marine reservist Jasen D. Bruce. But instead of offering help, “Bruce struck the priest on the head with a tire iron.” The reservist believed Marakis, who spoke limited English, was an Arab terrorist...'
It's good to know the Marine reservists have us covered... Damn, hit him in the head with a tire iron?
Going over to see our banker
She doesn't need facts
'Palin's Book Goes Rogue on Some Facts'
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Sarah Palin's new book reprises familiar claims from the 2008 presidential campaign that haven't become any truer over time. Ignoring substantial parts of her record if not the facts, she depicts herself as a frugal traveler on the taxpayer's dime, a reformer without ties to powerful interests and a politician roguishly indifferent to high ambition. ...Palin goes adrift, at times, on more contemporary issues, too. She criticizes President Barack Obama for pushing through a bailout package that actually was achieved by his Republican predecessor George W. Bush -- a package she seemed to support at the time.
Just like 'that Bridge to Nowhere' that she fully supported -- until the Democratic controlled 110th Congress took it away from her -- Sarah Palin will say anything regardless of the facts because she knows the 20% that follow her are too fucking dumb to know differently. Don't miss the video.
Cracked that conspiracy too...
The Dingbat Roots Out the God-Haters
'Sarah Palin saw an anti-Christian conspiracy in the redesign of U.S. $1 coins. Saying that there had been a lot of “change” of late, Palin talked about how the phrase “In God We Trust” had been moved from the center of coins to their edges. “Who calls a shot like that? Who makes a decision like that?” Palin asked before saying, “It's a disturbing trend.” With her reference to change and hints of sinister motives, Palin seemed to suggest that the Obama administration was responsible. But, the $1 coin redesign was commissioned in 2005, when Republicans controlled Congress, and was approved by President George W. Bush.
That stupid ass embarrasses herself every time she speaks. If you can listen to that shrill and continual ignorance and still pretend you think she's qualified to lead anything, then you have some serious deficiencies. (h/t to Politics Daily for the 'clandestine' video )
We are paying them to kill us
How the US Funds the Taliban
'... In this grotesque carnival, the US military's contractors are forced to pay suspected insurgents to protect American supply routes. It is an accepted fact of the military logistics operation in Afghanistan that the US government funds the very forces American troops are fighting. And it is a deadly irony, because these funds add up to a huge amount of money for the Taliban.'
What a scam, and a shame for our troops. Petraeus did the exact same thing during 'the Surge' in Iraq when we paid a 100,000 Iraqi insurgents $10 a day not to attack us. They use the money to buy weapons to kill our troops. It's a fucking crime that we are going to escalate our presence in that politically and religiously corrupt hell hole. It ain't worth fucking dying for. The investigative report was done by Aram Roston of the Nation and there's a really good video with Dylan Ratigan and Jeremy Scahill. Get a goddamn clue. ----->

Hypocrites need abortion coverage too!
'Since 1991, the RNC -- the group that co-ordinates Republican activities at the national level -- has been on a health insurance plan from insurer Cigna that offers elective abortion coverage, and the RNC signed up for the coverage even though it was an optional part of the package, says a report at Politico.'
The abortion coverage was an elective - an additional option that would have to be chosen separately by the RNC. Of course it goes back to 1991 so Newt, Bob Livingston, Henry Hyde and the boys probably thought it could come in handy.
WTF is he talking about?
The ranking Republican on the House intelligence committee accused the White House of withholding information on the Fort Hood attack. Rep. Pete Hoekstra (Mich.) said administration officials delayed briefing members of Congress about the alleged gunman, raising "red flags" about what the White House was hiding.
Obama demands review
Meanwhile, President Barack Obama has ordered a review to determine if warning signs were mishandled of contact between Hasan and a radical Islamic cleric who encouraged Muslims to kill U.S. troops in Iraq. Obama said he wanted all intelligence related to Hasan preserved and reviewed to determine whether it was properly shared and acted upon within the government.
Hoekstra, embarrassingly a Michigander who's a serial leaker and who is running for our governor, has a long history of making a fool of himself. Just what we need.
They'll starve those sinners!
US Catholic Church now playing political hardball
In its efforts to influence health care reform and oppose same-sex marriage, the Catholic Church is wading more deeply into politics than it has in recent memory, observers say. The church's role in politics came into sharp relief this week when the Washington Post reported on Wednesday that the Washington, D.C., diocese threatened to cease its charitable activities if the D.C. city council went ahead with a plan to allow same-sex marriages. The church's social services arm ...has received $8.2 million in funding from the D.C. government in the past three years.
