Only idiots and liars don't know who was right between John McCain and Barack Obama on Iraq

"I'm confident we're on the right course ..." ABC's This Week - 3/7/04

Barack Obama's record on Iraq
"I know that even a successful war against Iraq will require a US occupation of undetermined length, at undetermined cost, with undetermined consequences." - 10/2/02
"I would deploy at least two additional brigades to Afghanistan to re-enforce our counter-terrorism operations and support NATO's efforts against the Taliban. ... We must not, however, repeat the mistakes of Iraq.
"I didn't see the weapons of mass destruction at the time, I didn't think there was an imminent threat from Saddam Hussein."
"We're not going to baby sit a civil war."
"We did not finish the job against al-Qaeda in Afghanistan. We did not develop new capabilities to defeat a new enemy, or launch a comprehensive strategy to dry up the terrorists' base of support. We did not reaffirm our basic values, or secure our homeland."
"Why are you always reminding us that you opposed the war? Isn't that yesterday's news? Is that experience really relevant?" And what I always say is this -- this isn't just about the past, it's about the future."
It is very much about the future and choosing a man to lead this country who had the foresight to realize what a miserable mistake it would be to invade Iraq, a country that wasn't a threat and did not have anything to do with 9/11, is the type of judgment that this country so desperately needs.
John McCain has proven himself to be an incompetent warmongering blowhard that hasn't been right yet when it comes to the Iraq Invasion and Occupation.
We need new leadership - not just four more years of rightwing stupidity and abject misery like we have gotten over the last 7 1/2 years.
