At that time, Democrats held 203 seats (202 Dem, 1 Ind.) in the 109th Congress and needed 15 more to reach the majority of 218. Democrats won 30 that November and have gained three more since. Doctors at Larissa General Hospital examined the girl and surgically removed a growth they later discovered was an embryo more than two inches long. Andreas Markou, head of the hospital's pediatric department, said the embryo was a formed fetus with a head, hair and eyes, but no brain or umbilical cord. Markou said cases where one of a set of twins absorbs the other in the womb occurs in one of 500,000 live births.

A central California biochemist convicted of killing her estranged husband by knocking him out and stuffing him into a vat of acid has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Larissa Schuster of Clovis was convicted in December of murdering Timothy Schuster with the special circumstance that the murder was committed for financial gain. His half-dissolved body was found a few days after his 2003 death in a barrel that was inside a storage unit his wife had rented.We're done using you -- get lost!

Sunday night, two uniformed officers knocked on the front door of Steve and Linda Ellis' rural home to notify them that their 24-year-old daughter did not survive a blast Sunday that once again destroyed her Buffalo armored vehicle.[Thank you]

And although McCain stirred thing up a bit, the esteemed, and now world-renowned, selection Committee, debated only briefly and decided that George Bush's lie about quitting golf as a show of 'solidarity' with our troops dying needlessly in Iraq, was just too egregious of a lie to pass up.
