On second thought, about that 47%

I wrote the previous post this morning before I left for work and you know what? Mitt Romney doesn't have anything to worry about when it comes to that 47% who he arrogantly calls, 'victims', because they're mostly Republicans. Look at this map;
Do you see all that red? Those are the states that have the most people who don't pay federal income tax and guess what? Yeah, you're right, they're all 'red' states. Well, the article says '8 out of 10' but just because Barack Obama won Florida in 2008 doesn't make it a blue state. They still have to earn that honor.

Bottom line: There are a lot of people who don't pay federal income taxes. A lot of them are retirees and a lot are people not earning enough to pay it. But Romney doesn't have to worry about them not voting for him since most of them are Republicans from all those red 'beggar' states.  I'm not at all surprised.

Even Bill Kristol gets it!
"It's worth recalling that a good chunk of the 47 percent who don't pay income taxes are Romney supporters—especially of course seniors (who might well "believe they are entitled to heath care," a position Romney agrees with), as well as many lower-income Americans (including men and women serving in the military) who think conservative policies are better for the country even if they're not getting a tax cut under the Romney plan. So Romney seems to have contempt not just for the Democrats who oppose him, but for tens of millions who intend to vote for him."
