Senate Republicans led by Mitch McConnell have been very clear all along that their main objective was to make Barack Obama a one-term president regardless of how much it would hurt the economy.  Regaining power is their number one goal and they couldn't care less what happens to all of the ignorant, low-information, white middle-class sheep who put them in power.  Unfortunately, you can't fix stupid.
 
I don't know what other evidence 'independents' need.  It's obvious who the America-hating obstructionists are in this country. We need 60 Democratic Senators.
