Romney's tax plan increases taxes on the middle class to pay for millionaires' tax cuts
The Tax Policy Center yesterday released an analysis showing that 2012 GOP presidential frontrunner Mitt Romney’s tax plan is heavily weighted towards the richest Americans, giving 50 percent of its benefit to those making $1 million or more. While millionaires would receive an annual tax cut of nearly $150,000, many middle class and low income families would see their taxes go up.I'm always amazed at how stupid and uninformed the teabagging wingnuts I know are. Ninety-five percent of them make less than I do...most of them, not even half of what I do, but they're all going to be millionaires some day, of course.
Clearly, 'trickle-down economics' doesn't work and in fact, it's what destroyed this country's economy. But to the rightwing sheep - pathetic, guilt-ridden serfs - who for decades have voted against their best interests - that just can't be true.
It's going to be tough to be a great nation again when 45% of your population are so dumb, weak-minded and misinformed. You can take a man who lost his job during the Bush Great Recession and who now earns half of what he made before and he will tell you unequivocally that he will vote in November for the man and the Party that will re-institute those same failed policies. Until the sheep on the right wake up, it's not going to be easy.
