Who could have ever imagined that the Shia majority we installed in Iraq would consolidate power and become closer to Iran and Syria? 

I was going to write a separate post on Dick Cheney's nonsense from yesterday but instead, since it's relative to this one, I'll just add it here;

You should have fought the war on terror, asshole, instead of lying us into Iraq and ignoring Afghanistan.  Your statement about Iraq being,  "not perfect by any means, but they clearly are much better off than when Saddam Hussein was in charge", is bullshit too.  Not only are Iraqis worse off but the United States is without question, far worse off without Saddam Hussein being able to keep the Iranians in check.

Dick Cheney has zero credibility on foreign policy.  He and George Bush were miserable failures and that's exactly the way history will be written.
