"Robert Jeffress, the senior pastor at First Baptist Church in Dallas, called Mr. Romney’s Mormon faith “a cult”."Yeah sure, Ol' Prick Perry looks real insulted there, doesn't he? That big hug was after Jeffress said what he said. Jeffress is Perry's chosen pastor; he chose him to introduce him at the 'Values (sic) Summit'. Do you mean Rick Perry actually sat in a pew for over 20 years listening to that man?
But what I find comical is all of the surprise. 'Evangelical' Christians think the Catholic Church is a 'cult', too. They call it 'the Great Whore' and they call the Pope the 'Anti-Christ'.
Catholics who vote Republican - whose largest constituent base are 'evangelicals' - are ignorant and naive. First they came for the Mormons...and I didn't care because I wasn't one...
ADDENDUM: I didn't realize before that Prick Perry said his pastor, Jeffress, “hit it out of the ballpark” with his introduction and calling Mormonism a cult. It wasn't until Prick's handlers told him afterward, 'no pea-brain that not good', that he changed his simple mind.
