No, that's not true
There's a physician that has a talk show here in the Detroit area and I've heard him say in promotional piece for his show - he's big-time anti 'ObamaCare' - that 'Obama promised unemployment wouldn't exceed 8% if Congress passed his stimulus bill, and it was 'only 6.5% when it passed'.   

First of all, Obama didn't promise that.   But secondly, and more importantly, why would Obama say that since the 'stimulus' was passed in February 2009 - his first full month in office - and unemployment was already 8.1%?
