SANTORUM: Yeah, remember, under the Bush administration, welfare — I mean, excuse me, poverty among African Americans and among single unmarried women, poverty was at the lowest rate ever in the history of this country.

Poverty shot up an "astonishing 26.1 percent" under George W. Bush, Mandog.   What an asshole. 

The guy can't buy a friend

Obama reduces Bush's record deficit

Barack Obama's first budget ended with a $1.3 trillion deficit, $125 billion less than George W. Bush's last budget.  And when you factor in another $134 billion sucked up by the Iraq and Afghanistan wars in 2010 - Bush hid those costs, 'off budget' - and Obama stopped that gimmick - that $259 billion less is pretty damn good.

Unfortunately, 'bringing about stability' is a classic Petraeus tactic - just as the rumor of paying off the Taliban mirrors his exact same strategy of paying off the Sunni insurgents during the 'surge' in Iraq.

But as far as those drone attacks in Pakistan, those are from the CIA and they're aimed at the real objective. That is where it's at.
