McCAIN: I obviously don’t want to torture any prisoners. There’s a long list of areas that we were in disagreement on –It was only 6 1/2 months ago that John McCain voted against a bill that would ban waterboarding. When the bill passed, he lobbied Bush to veto it.
WALLACE: You’re not suggesting he [Bush] did want to torture prisoners.
McCAIN: Well, waterboarding to me is torture, OK? And waterboarding was advocated by the administration and, according to published reports, was used. But the point is, we’ve had our disagreements.
Is anybody paying attention to this? Either John McCain thinks were all too dumb to remember what happened six months ago, or he's much more brain-damaged than previously thought.
