It's a good thing we didn't listen to John McCain

Remember in April when John McCain and Hillary Clinton were whining about the 18.4 cents per gallon federal gas tax? Both of them wanted to suspend the tax and implement a 'Gas Tax Holiday'. Barack Obama said that was foolish since the oil and gas companies would merely gobble up that 18.4 cents in no time.

Gas was $3.40 - $3.50 a gallon then. Today the national average price of gasoline is $4.08.

Guess who would have sucked up that 18.4 cents windfall from that 'holiday'? You sure wouldn't have.
