For weeks now, John McCain's presidential campaign has faced awkward questions about the outside activities of several top advisers. Add one more name to the list: former Texas senator Phil Gramm, McCain's longtime friend and one of his five campaign co-chairs.Has there been a single week yet since John McCain became the Republican nominee that he hasn't had a lobbyist working on his campaign exposed for some criminal act?
While McCain surrounds himself with criminals like former Republican Senator Phil Gramm who is "vice chairman of a U.S. division of Zurich-based financial giant UBS" -- a company that helps wealthy Americans illegally avoid paying taxes, Obama and Michigan's great Senator, Carl Levin, fight for the American people and the $100 billion in lost tax revenue.
The conversation tonight and tomorrow in the 'liberal media' and the petty wingnut blogs will be about the small-time criminal, Tony Rezko, who was convicted of 'bribing businesses seeking state contracts' while they ignore McCain and his buddy Phil Gramm who protect those who steal $100 billion a year from U.S. taxpayers.
Go figure.
