'During his speech before the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) touted the success of America’s divestment campaign from South Africa’s racist apartheid regime and proposed a similar policy towards Iran.' ... 'Years ago, the moral clarity and conviction of civilized nations came together in a divestment campaign against South Africa, helping to rid that nation of the evil of apartheid".
Sounds reasonable enough, huh? So what did 'Mr. Straight Talk' John McCain do during 'America’s divestment campaign from South Africa’ and when our country showed 'moral clarity and conviction'? He voted against it six times!
Is John McCain going to be held to any kind of ethical standard during his masquerade as a man of integrity?
And will anyone be writing about this besides Think Progress? ... And me?
