Sorry General, it has already been 'enormous'

"The U.S. military commander in Iraq says the war effort may well get harder before it gets easier and American casualties are likely to continue to climb. Speaking as the Senate was passing legislation to start bringing home U.S. forces in October, Gen. David Petraeus said the war will require "an enormous commitment" by the United States."
- 3,334 military deaths
- 800 American civilian contractor deaths
- 24,314 wounded
- 11,090 seriously wounded
- $2 trillion cost

With all due respect, General Petraeus, the commitment has already been enormous and you have said yourself, sir, that, "Any student of history recognizes that there is no military solution to a problem like that in Iraq."

How much more commitment can you ask for when you have already admitted we cannot win militarily?
