Oklahoma City
It happened just minutes after 9 a.m. on April 19, 1995. Many of the 550 people who worked in Oklahoma City's Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building were heading to their offices when a truck bomb tore down the north face of the building. The explosion killed 168 people — the deadliest mass murder on U.S. soil. Our interactive time line traces the events of the last 2½ years.
Waco
On April 19, 1993, the ATF launched an assault on the headquarters of David Koresh in Waco, Texas. Koresh ordered his disciples to kill themselves and set the compound on fire. Eighty-six people died.
Timothy McVeigh, the psychopathic redneck momma's boy chose April 19th to blow-up the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building and murder 168 men, women and children to avenge the murder of 86 Branch Davidians, who were murdered by another demented psychopath, David Koresh, who committed his act of mass murder two years earlier on the same day - April 19.
And to think that to this day, many right wing wackos actually still defend these two murdering psychopaths.
Amazing.
