Bremer Eager to Defend Record Overseeing Iraq

Bremer "has been requested to testify regarding reconstruction activities during his tenure at the CPA, as well as an audit report from January 2005 that concluded that more than $8.8 billion in cash under the CPA's control was disbursed without adequate financial controls or accountability," a committee statement said.

Bremer, was awarded a Presidential Medal of Freedom for his work in Iraq.

Amazing...only in an administration like Bush's could you not be able to 'account' for $9 billion and still be awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Who's next, Mike Brown?
