Should he really be saying that?
"I was going to have a few comments about John Edwards but you have to go into rehab if you use the word 'faggot'"
Should a cross-dressing, female impersonating, hate-mongering fool who has an Adams Apple that Johnny Appleseed would envy, be calling someone a 'faggot'?

Just trust George
"You said we're headed to war in Iran -- I don't know why you say that. I hope we're not headed to war in Iran. I'm the person who gets to decide, not you." - George W. - Crawford, Texas, Dec. 31, 2006 *

We need to just trust George will not be foolish enough to invade Iran. (*footnote below)

So now he tells us
Sam Fox is a St. Louis, Missouri-based business executive. President Bush nominated him in Dec. 2006 to be the Ambassador of the US in Belgium. Fox was a major backer of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, a so-called non-partisan '527' advocacy group that attacked Senator Kerry's military service record in the 2004 election. Fox gave $50,000 to the Swift Boat Vets group.

When Kerry confronted Fox during his confirmation hearing on this subject this week, Fox criticized all 527 groups, and said "You're a hero. And there isn’t anybody or anything that's going to take that away from you. But yet 527s tried to."

Let God separate them
Escalation update: “U.S. troops, Iraqi soldiers and officials, and Baghdad residents say the plan is hampered because security forces cannot identify, let alone apprehend, the elusive perpetrators of the violence. … ‘I don’t know who I’m fighting most of the time,’ said Staff Sgt. Joseph Lopez.’”

Intel Director didn't get the memo
“In the most definitive statement in years,” Mike McConnell, the new director of national intelligence, said yesterday that “Osama bin laden is in Pakistan actively re-establishing al Qaeda training camps.” He also admitted to the Senate that the “term ‘civil war’ accurately describes key elements of the Iraqi conflict.”

Must have outgrown it
According to the research, one of Barack Obama's great-great-great-great grandfathers, George Washington Overall, owned two slaves who were recorded in the 1850 census in Nelson County, Ky. The same records show that one of Obama's great-great-great-great-great-grandmothers, Mary Duvall, also owned two slaves.

That's not the Red Sea
Taiji, Japan- Despite protests from international environmental organizations, Japanese fishermen, with government approval, are currently conducting an annual dolphin hunt that kills thousands of the aquatic mammals. Hideki Moronuki, spokesman for the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Ministry, said 16,000 to 17,000 dolphins are killed on average in the hunt every year, but environmentalists said the number exceeds 20,000.

Damn internets
(CBS) America's top intelligence officer overseeing Iraq and Afghanistan says terrorists have made the Internet their most important recruiting tool. Brig. Gen. John Custer tells Scott Pelley that terrorist groups like al Qaeda are influencing Islamic youth to join their cause through Web sites devoted to jihad, or religious war.

Pelley's report will be broadcast this Sunday, March 4, at 7 p.m. ET/PT. On 60 Minutes

Little more than "cross-eyed"
On the February 28, 2007 edition of his nationally syndicated radio show, Bill O'Reilly told co-host Lis Wiehl that "women were treated better than men" at ABC News and CBS News because "[t]hey had a little cabal; and they intimidated the men in the organization and said, 'If you look at me cross-eyed, I'm gonna bring you up to Human Resources and destroy your life.' "

From O'Reilly's 2004 sexual harrassment lawsuit
"O'Reilly continued to describe sexual acts he would perform on her - and she on him. And when she reminded him that he was her boss, O'Reilly allegedly said, "You just have to suspend that." It was at that point, Mackris claims, that "it became clear" that O'Reilly was pleasuring himself with a vibrating dildo, possible up his butt."

"If any woman ever breathed a word I'll make her pay so dearly that she'll wish she'd never been born," O'Reilly replied, according to the court papers. "I'll rake her through the mud, bring up things in her life and make her so miserable that she'll be destroyed." The testimony

downward decline
Over all, Mr. Bush’s job approval remains at one of its lowest points, with 29 percent of all Americans saying they approve of the way he is doing his job, compared with 34 percent at the end of October. Sixty-one percent disapproved, compared with 58 percent in October, within the margin of sampling error.

Twenty-three percent of those polled approved of the way Mr. Bush is dealing with the situation in Iraq. Twenty-five percent approved of his handling of foreign policy.

They missed that Gravy Train
WASHINGTON - The percentage of poor Americans who are living in severe poverty has reached a 32-year high...

A McClatchy Newspapers analysis of 2005 census figures, the latest available, found that nearly 16 million Americans are living in deep or severe poverty. A family of four with two children and an annual income of less than $9,903 -- half the federal poverty line -- was considered severely poor in 2005. So were individuals who made less than $5,080 a year.

The analysis found that the number of severely poor Americans grew 26 percent from 2000 to 2005. That is 56 percent more than the overall poverty population grew in the same period.

Whatcha talkin' bout?
The Rev. Al Sharpton is descended from a slave once owned by Strom Thurmond’s family, according to genealogists working on behalf of The New York Daily News. Sharpton called the revelation “probably the most shocking thing in my life.”

Foreseen Facism
"When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross." - Sinclair Lewis - It Can't Happen Here - 1935

Activist Judges are on the Right
The biggest fallacy about activist judges is they come from the 'left'. The exact opposite is the truth. The most extensive research ever done on 'who are the activist judges', clearly documents this fact.

"Justice Clarence Thomas, appointed by President George H. W. Bush, was the most inclined, voting to invalidate 65.63 percent of those laws; Justice Stephen Breyer, appointed by President Bill Clinton, was the least, voting to invalidate 28.13 percent. The tally for all the justices appears below".
Thomas 65.63 %
Kennedy 64.06 %
Scalia 56.25 %
Rehnquist 46.88 %
O’Connor 46.77 %
Souter 42.19 %
Stevens 39.34 %
Ginsburg 39.06 %
Breyer 28.13
The more 'liberal' the judge, the more likely they do NOT overturn the 'elected legislative body' of the people. What you hear constantly from the bigmouths on the 'right', is as usual, the opposite of reality.

Today a long time ago
On March 4, 1791, Vermont was admitted as the 14th U.S. state. The first state admitted after the original 13 Colonies.

Nasty Newt should be ashamed
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich this week called Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton "a nasty woman..."

In a 1995 speech to the Conference of Mayors, while in the throes of his own secret, six-year affair with the woman he'd later take as his third wife, Gingrich celebrated the values of Victorian England for "reestablishing values, by moral leadership and by being willing to look at people in the face and say, 'You should be ashamed.'

She ain't no Theresa Heinz
McCain article devoted just two sentences to his wife's wealth and briefly noted that most of McCain's reported net worth of about $15 million "stems from his wife, the millionaire daughter of an Arizona beer magnate."

The Limbaugh/HD Award

This week's winner is VA Secretary Jim Nicholson

VA Secretary Jim Nicholson Downplays High Numbers Of Injured Vets:

‘A Lot Of Them Come In For Dental Problems’

While the Department of Defense reports that there have been about 23,000 nonfatal battlefield casualties in Iraq, ABC’s Bob Woodruff reported — through an internal VA document — that more than 200,000 veterans have sought medical care for various ailments.

When Woodruff confronted VA Secretary Jim Nicholson about the disparity in the administration’s figures, Nicholson responded that Americans are probably “surprised to know that 200,000 come to the VA for some kind of medical treatment. That’s probably more than they think.” But Nicholson quickly downplayed the high numbers, claiming a lot of veterans simply “come in for dental problems.”

Nicholson’s attempts to diminish the seriousness of the issue are insulting. According to the VA internal report, the injuries afflicting veterans are quite serious in nature:

Mental disorders: 73,000
Diseases of nervous system: 61,000
Signs of ill-defined conditions: 7,000
Diseases of musculoskeletal system: 87,000 -(TP)
I think Mr. Nicholson could use some dental work.

*George Bush didn't say that on December 31, 2006-It was December 31, 2002. He also wasn't talking about Iran. I changed the 'q' to 'n' and the 2 to 6. There's really not that much difference, is there?

(The 'Limbaugh/HD Award' is a new award here on 'done that' that will be presented each week to the person or persons, who can show a total disregard for the truth, by either writing or saying something totally fabricated, without any basis of fact, and still pretend as if there's no problem with their character)
