No guts, no glory, no perjury

Cheney and Libby will not testify

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Neither Vice President Dick Cheney nor his former aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby will testify at Libby's perjury and obstruction trial in the CIA leak case, Libby's lawyer said Tuesday.

Defense attorney Theodore Wells said he advised Cheney's lawyer over lunch that the vice president's testimony would not be needed. Wells also said he planned to rest his case this week without calling Libby.
Cheney's 'testimony would not be needed'? Who is Wells trying to kid? Cheney's testimony would be the nail in Libby's coffin and would have led to a wonderful opportunity to finally prosecute his lying ass.

And Libby not testifying at his perjury trial will be admission of guilt to the jury. But after hearing Libby's testimony in front of the grand jury, I can understand Wells' dilemma.
