Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) yesterday named several specific techniques — extreme sleep deprivation, forced hypothermia and waterboarding — that he says would be banned under his “compromise” bill on detainee policy. Sen. Bill Frist (R-TN) said McCain’s disclosure “helps the terrorists.”You shouldn't have a problem telling which one of these two Senators actually served the country, could you? Or which was possibly held captive for five years?
It's too bad John McCain didn't follow through completely with what was right, though - He had to cave a little to retain all the 'Christian-Right, Values Voters' who think holding a man's head under water is God's will...
McCain really is half a wimp who'd do anything, with anyone, to become President. That still makes him twice the man as the Republican Senate Majority leader, Frist.
