The argument shouldn't be about how much additional health care costs are involved, it's common sense: if you're that fucked up in the head, you shouldn't be serving in our military. Our military isn't a fucking social experiment for queers.
Addendum: As for the costs to 'treat' these people, why should taxpayers have to pay between $50,000 and $100,000 to appease these people? If you want to change your 'gender', pay for it yourself. I sure in the hell don't want to pay for it!
