Ah, come on now, the Republican shutdown isn't a problem
at all
The Dow Jones was 15,258 the day Republicans shut the government down. Today it closed at 14,777. That's a 3.15% drop in eight days and this bullshit just started.
Three percent may sound like chump change to some, but to others it's a big deal. Let's say you're a 60 1/2 year old who has $400,000 in the market and you're getting awfully close to retirement. The Republicans just costs you $12,600. People don't like to lose $12,000. That's just another $12,000 on top of what the George W. Bush/Republican Great Recession costs some poor old guy who wants to retire someday. We as a country can't afford these Republicans anymore.
And oh yeah, by the way, that 60 1/2 year old isn't me. No, I 'Republicanized' my investments a long time ago.
