I also said in that post two weeks ago that we were spending $80 billion a year in Afghanistan. I was wrong; we're spending $120 billion a year there. So, we don't have a problem cutting the $600 billion over 10 years from the military as sequestration requires. Pull out of Afghanistan and we can still make those cuts and still have an extra $60 billion a year to spend.
Bottom line; Republicans shouldn't be whining about the policy they're responsible for. But, they are Republicans.
