But Mitt, it's called the George W. Bush Great Recession for obvious reasons
"Between January 2009 and March 2012 men lost 57,000 jobs, while women lost 683,000 jobs. This is the reverse of the recession period of December 2007- June 2009 which saw men lose 5,355,000 jobs and women lose 2,124,000 jobs..."
The George W. Bush Great Recession began in December 2007 and ended June 2009 and as you can read above, 7,479,000 people lost their jobs during it. Did anyone think that the massive job losses - 800,000 in his Bush's last month - 2.3 million in his last three - would stop because we had a new president? Only morons and ultra-partisan wingnuts are that unscrupulous.

But, what do those numbers above actually tell us? That far more men than women lost their jobs because of the last Republican administration's disastrous economic policies and that when you have a major recession, men lose their jobs first.  Just ask miserable mike.

Romney lied about Obama and jobs lost last week, too. He didn't really 'lie' this time, he just conveniently left out the truth. But don't worry, you can get that here.
