Climbing out of the Recession

Mitch Daniels on Meet the Press this morning was spouting off on how slow the Obama administration has been in 'climbing out' of the huge recession he and his boss created, compared to previous recessions.

If you're in a two foot hole how hard is it to climb out?

Barack Obama took office with a GDP that had shrunk by 8.9% the quarter before.  That's a nine foot hole. There is no comparison going back to The Great Depression.
