The release of Nike's new Air Jordan basketball shoes caused a frenzy at stores across the nation Friday as scuffles broke out and police were brought in to stamp out unrest that nearly turned into riots in some places.We are one huge, fucked-up society. Most of those scumbags can't afford a pot to piss in but they're out there kicking the shit out of each other over basketball shoes that sell for $180 a pair. I have never paid even half of that for a pair of 'gym' shoes. In fact, the ones I wear everyday (for the last year and a half) didn't cost a third of that, and I can easily afford the $180.
We're fucking sick...and I'm beginning to think, there isn't a cure for this pathetic bullshit.
