Now that Barney Frank has decided to call it quits, it has to be written that he has to be the baddest mofo ever to serve in Congress. How else could you explain a gay, Massachusetts liberal being able to force George W. Bush and a completely Republican-dominated both houses of Congress to fall for Freddie Mac's and Fannie Mae's destruction of the U.S. housing market?

You can't explain it. Because that's not the way it happened. Republicans were in full and complete control of our government when it all went down. Just the facts.
