House Democrats Pass Exactly What Americans Voted For

The Democrat-led House of Representatives has voted to extend the Bush-era tax cuts for families making $250,000 or less - but not on incomes above that threshold, as Republicans have demanded.

Barack Obama campaigned on exactly that and he won by 10 million votes. Senate Democrats should pass this legislation and do it with 51 votes. They don't need 60 votes, just as Senate Republicans didn't need 60 votes to pass the existing legislation in 2001.
