When Lying Meant Something

Ah, come on, what's a few thousand missiles for the Ayatollah?
"[Oliver] North said he went along with what appeared to be a top-level agreement not to reveal information regarding the 1985 arms sales, including the fact that the President retroactively authorized in a covert-action Finding the November 1985 shipment of HAWK missiles to Iran."
And, isn't that interesting, Ollie North testified that Reagan authorized the sale in 1985 and the video is from 1986 and 1987.  And keep in mind, this was just two years after Iranian-backed Hezbollah suicide bombers killed 241 of our guys in Beirut.  ...I wonder what they'd say if Obama pulled some shit like that?

These historical facts are NOT from the Heritage Foundation.

Just put it on the tab

New Afghan war plans could cost US taxpayers an extra $125 billion
At the NATO summit, President Obama's push to soften troop withdrawal deadlines could bring remaining war costs to $413 billion, according to one independent analyst.
What a bunch of fucking idiots we are!

Who hired that dumbass?
NEW YORK -- For at least the fourth time since June, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke publicly urged Congress to combat the lackluster recovery by increasing government spending...
Oh yeah.  But, I agree with Bernanke.  We should just take that $413 billion and spend here at home.

Unanimously?

US Senate Approves Billions for Black Farmers, Native Americans
The U.S. Senate has unanimously approved a combined $4.55 billion in settlements to black farmers and Native Americans, ending years of litigation on charges of racial bias and mismanagement.
'Unanimous'? Damn, those redneck Republican crackers from all those beggar Red States must've thought they got a helluva deal. It probably covers the mules but I don't think the 40 acre part.
