Rangers blow 5 run lead, lose 6-5

ARLINGTON, Texas — Fifty thousand people stood, stunned. Immediately after showing George W. Bush on the JumboTron it all began to unravel. It had happened so quickly, so easily. Well, not really - he killed us slowly over eight miserable years. With the Rangers seemingly gliding to a win in their first trip to the American League Championship Series, with the Yankees staring at a must-win Game 2 before facing Cliff Lee in Game 3, the eighth inning brought everything to a halt.
I was actually pulling for the Rangers last night right up until they showed Gump in attendance sitting with Nolan Ryan and I realized as much as I have disliked the Yankees over the last 50 some years, Texas really does suck! They showed Gump, and they lost a five-run lead.

They got off light. Unfortunately the country didn't.
