More time for what?

"Now we get Petraeus, the latest in a long line of generals trotted out (presumably in full military regalia) as the newest, most recognized, respected military "hero" telling us of the need to give him more time to rectify the war and the insurgency in Afghanistan."

Like we didn't know that was coming from Petraeus.

Already our nation's longest war at 106 months and we're not even beginning to draw down for another 12 months. Bin Laden and al-Qaeda aren't there anymore. And we could sure use the $60 billion a year too.
