Teabagger Congressman proves that teabaggers are either stupid or bigots
"Rep. Steve King (R-IA), who spends a lot of time stoking fear about deficits under President Obama, explained on MSNBC this morning that the "difference" between President Bush and Obama is that Obama is spending far too much."The 'difference'? Yes, there is a difference between Bush and Obama and it's Obama is spending less than Bush.
Can you imagine how much better off this country would be if people weren't so ignorant and misinformed? We wouldn't have Teabaggers. It's bad enough that the rest of us have to deal with the simple-minded teabagger bigots who are suddenly irate over all the 'new' deficit spending. But now there's the teabagger's favorite Congressman, Steve King, spewing that nonsense on MSNBC and I'm sure no one challenged him on those lies.
Here's the opening paragraph from a CBO report released three weeks ago;
The federal government incurred a deficit of just over $1.0 trillion for the first nine months of fiscal year 2010, CBO estimates, $81 billion less than the roughly $1.1 trillion deficit incurred through June 2009. Revenues so far this year are slightly higher than they were last year at this time; outlays are about 3 percent lower.After nine months into Obama's first budget, spending is 3% lower than Bush's record deficit year.
But then you say, well, that was last June when Obama was in the White House. Yeah, well the total outlays for May 2010 (the most recent available) were $283 billion and in Bush's last month in office, January 2009, outlays were $304 billion. You don't want to compare that month, how about December 2008 when outlays were $321 billion?
And if you're still whining and want a fairer comparison, let's take May of 2008 and May 2010. 'Outlays' were $290 billion in May 2008 and 'only' $283 billion in May 2010. See teabaggers, you're stupid and sadly uniformed. Either that or you just can't stand the thought of Barack Obama being in your White House.
Just think how much aggravation you could have saved yourselves. You've been parading around pretending to be all upset about Obama's out of control spending and he's actually spending less than your boy, Bush. Man, if you had any integrity, you'd be embarrassed. And it only took me about 15 minutes to prove that King is a liar and teabaggers are either very misinformed or bigots.
