That was awfully thoughtful of the 'Father of the Constitution', wasn't it? He was probably giving his slaves Sunday afternoon off by then.
Let me see if I got this right; Michael Steele is criticizing Elena Kagan because she's a fan of Thurgood Marshall, who had the uppishness and the audacity to say that, "the Constitution, as originally drafted and conceived, was "defective"?
Am I missing something? Justice Marshall had every right to say that because it is undeniably true. The 'original' was obviously defective to some people.
