Finishing Afghanistan is what Barack Obama campaigned on. I agree with him. I'm just not into any of the nation building and hand holding. I want accomplished what we went there to accomplish.

I like the 18 month timeline. I heard the senile old McGrampy whining about it after the speech. If the double-talking asshole would have gotten only 10 million more votes he could have made the call.

But the timeline lets Karzai know he doesn't have anytime to waste. He had better get his shit together and fast. Why would we ever even consider staying there for another 3, 5 or 10 years propping up that corrupt hell hole?

Tell the Afghans they have a year and a half and in the meantime we're going to be killing al-Qaeda for the next 18-19 months.

I wanted to get out in 13 months so I can live with 19. Besides, they didn't ask for my opinion.
