President Hamid Karzai has demanded the UN to set a 'timeline' for ending the US-led military intervention in the war-torn Afghanistan.Wrap it up in Iraq, send in about 10,000-15,000 Special Forces along with a few drones and track down and kill Osama bin Laden and let Karzai and NATO or the UN deal with the Taliban and we'll come home.
Karzai emphasized at a meeting with a United Nations Security Council team in Kabul on Tuesday that his country needed to know how long the US-led "war on terror" was going to be fought in the violence-wracked country.
Obama needs to let Karzai know immediately that we're only there on one mission and we will gladly leave when we accomplish that mission. Seven-plus years has been far too long.
