ANCHORAGE, Sept. 8 -- Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has billed taxpayers for 312 nights spent in her own home during her first 19 months in office, charging a "per diem" allowance intended to cover meals and incidental expenses while traveling on state business.So, in the Pork Princess's mere 19 months in office, she's charged Alaskans per diem for 312 days (about 55%) to stay at her own home in Wasilla. She spent $10,000 of taxpayer's money for her seven year old daughter to travel.
The governor also has charged the state for travel expenses to take her children on official out-of-town missions. And her husband, Todd, has billed the state for expenses and a daily allowance for trips he makes on official business for his wife.
... The governor's daughters and husband charged the state $43,490 to travel, and many of the trips were between their house in Wasilla and Juneau, the capital city 600 miles away, the documents show.
I'm sure she will curtail her out-of-control spending once she gets to the Vice President's office.
To give you a point of reference to compare the Pork Princess to, our Democratic Governor here in Michigan, Jennifer Granholm, here is what Fox News reported;
“She’s entitled to them, she has never submitted a request,” spokeswoman Liz Boyd said, adding that Granholm returns 5 percent of her salary after taxes to the state every year. Granholm is married with three children.Palin is a pig, and she does wears lipstick.
