Oh, but the kids with 'special needs'

She was against those kids until she had one
"Though Palin did sign a law increasing special education funding in Alaska, “she had no role whatsoever” in its development, according to the bill’s author, Rep. Mike Hawker (R). Moreover, as governor, Palin vetoed $275,000 in Special Olympics Alaska funds (Page 100, SB 221 with vetoes), slashing the organization’s operating budget in half."
Sweet little Sarah. She boldly stated in her acceptance speech;
"To the families of special-needs children all across this country, I have a message: For years, you sought to make America a more welcoming place for your sons and daughters. I pledge to you that if we are elected, you will have a friend and advocate in the White House."
But if you go to page 100 of that pdf., you will see she slashed in half the budget for Alaska's Special Olympics. She's a real compassionate pentacostal Christian woman. Of course, to her credit, that was before her and the First Dude had little Trig.

Maybe John McCain should have interviewed Gov. Palin more times than Charlie Gibson did.
