McCain's Pork Princess speaks, market crashes

Dow Industrials Fall 340 Points
Stocks on Wall Street plunged on Thursday, but few investors seemed to settle on one reason. Many of them agreed that John McCain's pick, Sarah Palin, with it now being fairly clear that she is as clueless as he is on the economy, was more than likely the reason for today's dismal showing.
Wall Street reads the historical data.

But the Pork Princess's speech did have some success;
The Obama campaign confirms to First Read that it has raised $8 million from more than 130,000 donors since Sarah Palin's speech last night -- and that it's on pace to raise a total of $10 million by the time McCain speaks.
Thanks. Keep whining.

Update:23:59
"Obama spokesperson Tommy Vietor confirms that the campaign has now pulled in over $10 million since her speech -- a "one day record," Vietor says.

"I hope she gives a speech every day," Vietor joked.

Separately, the RNC reportedly raised $1 million after the speech.
'She failed miserably'.
