... It would provide $25 million for clinical research on spinal cord injuries, rehabilitation research and programs to improve the quality of life of people who are paralyzed.
When asked how he and his Party could justify voting against a paltry $25 million for paralyzed victims, many of them veterans, John McCain replied;
"Fuck 'em, let 'em pull themselves up by their bootstraps. No where in the Constitution does it say anything about supporting men who can no longer fight for this great country, my friends. Did you know Barack played basketball in Afghanistan?"
