It hasn't been a good week for Mr Straight Talk

McCain's National Leadership Team?
Rep. Rick Renzi (R-AZ) "has been indicted for extortion, wire fraud, money laundering and other charges related to a land deal in Arizona," according to the Associated Press. Renzi and two former business partners are accused “of conspiring to promote the sale of land that buyers could swap for property owned by the federal government. ...Renzi is a member of Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) National Leadership Team as well as a co-chair of his Arizona Leadership Team.
And of course, Maverick's lobbyists are all 'honorable'
Sen. John McCain is defending the private work performed by his campaign staff, many of whom earn healthy livings off the campaign trail as registered federal lobbyists. ... "These people have honorable records, and they're honorable people, and I'm proud to have them as part of my team,"
Great article here - Mr Straight Talk caught in yet another lie about his relationship with lobbyists.

Ethics and John McCain?

We're 'happy to have that argument', too.

addendum - Damn, it doesn't end for McCain. He's already put out a new video (using the theme from 'Friends' of all things) on his relationship over the years with his lobbying friends.

(h/t to Think Progress on 'McCain's new video'.)

addendum II - Talk about beating a dead horse;
A sworn deposition that Sen. John McCain gave in a lawsuit more than five years ago appears to contradict one part of a sweeping denial that his campaign issued this week to rebut a New York Times story about his ties to a Washington lobbyist.
Wow. The McCain camp desperately needs a weekend.
