How about a 11 month early out?
17,000 jobs lost in January
KANSAS CITY, Missouri (AFP) — George W. Bush on Friday called new data showing the first US jobs loss since 2003 a "troubling" sign of weakness in the battered US economy. "There are certainly some troubling signs, serious signs that the economy is weakening and we've got to do something about it ... "

Let me knock that smirk off your face

Hey, wait a minute ... does McCain have his eyes closed again?

Mr Straight Talk?
John McCain was close to leaving the Republican Party in 2001, weeks before then-Sen. Jim Jeffords (Vt.) famously announced his decision to become an Independent, according to former Democratic lawmakers who say they were involved in the discussions. In interviews with The Hill this month, former Sen. Tom Daschle (D-S.D.) and ex-Rep. Tom Downey (D-N.Y.) said there were nearly two months of talks with the maverick lawmaker following an approach by John Weaver, McCain’s chief political strategist.

About the Great State of Michigan
Myth:
Personal income is falling in Michigan, so the state budget should fall, too.
Fact: Since 2001, Michigan personal income has increased by 19.3%. In that same time, the state's spending from state taxes and fees has increased by just 10% -- even after last year's tax increases.
Myth: State government is taking more and more out of our pockets.
Fact: In the 2000-01 fiscal year, state taxes and fees took 9.49 cents of every dollar of income in Michigan. For the 2007-08 fiscal year, that amount is 8 cents.
Myth: All areas of spending are growing too fast, and need to be cut across the board.
Fact: Since the 2000-01 fiscal year, state spending in every major area except community health (which overwhelmingly is Medicaid) and prisons has increased at less than the rate of inflation, which was 17.4% from 2001 through the estimated figure for 2008. In fact, the State of Michigan has cut spending on its universities by 10.5% and revenue sharing for local communities by 31%.

Stay over there, slut!
"If he's our candidate, then Hillary's going to be our girl," Coulter asserted. "Because she's more conservative than he is. I think she would be stronger on the war on terrorism. ... I absolutely believe that. ... I will campaign for her if it's McCain."
[Don't even think about bringing your scuzzy, disease-carrying ass over here, Andy!]

Well, he is buried in the backyard
You can say that again
"When reporters pointed out that indeed Limbaugh has phone-in guests like Vice President Dick Cheney, McCain responded: "I don't listen to him very much. There's a certain trace of masochism in my family, but not that deep."
[Does he realize who he's insulting?]

'Bitch just told me she loves Osama

Blue Florida?

Not a bad turnout for Democrats in a primary that 'didn't count'.

They all do it
After all, it's common knowledge that, say, George Bush Sr. lied about Iran-Contra and "read my lips," Ronald Reagan lied like a nasty old rug about Iran and aiding the Contras, Lyndon Johnson lied about the Gulf of Tonkin to gain support for the Vietnam war, Harry Truman probably lied about Hiroshima and John F. Kennedy probably lied about the Bay of Pigs and, well, all presidents lie, really, to some degree or another and with varying degrees of success and historic consequence. Is it not sort of pointless to whine about it? -- Fair enough. But there is something truly special about Bush 43.

Hey what the hell, she's hot!

The Limbaugh Award

The winner of this week's 'Limbaugh Award', selected by the highly regarded, 'Committee For Public Integrity', is Mr Straight Talk, the soon-to-be nominee for the next big spending, bankrupting White House occupancy - Mr. John McCain.

Saturday afternoon as the committee was wrapping up their vote for this week's award CNN showed part of a speech McCain was giving in Nashville, Tennessee.

Up until that point I was sure sweet little Dana Perino was going to join the ranks of winners of this 'prestigious, but infamous' award for liars. But no, McCain snatched it away at the last minute with one of his more egregious, but often repeated, lies that he somehow seems to think he can get away with.

And that's that he 'spoke out against Rumsfeld and the administration's military policies right after the initial invasion'. Now, that is para-phrasing, it was TV and I haven't been able to find a transcript. I definitely heard him say 'right after the initial invasion'. And you've heard that lying bastard say and imply that revisionist bullshit multiple times.

Twelve months into the Iraq occupation, in March 2004, John McCain said; "the United States is "on the right course" in Iraq."

And in December of 2005, 33 months into their madness, McCain predicted; "a year from now, we will have made a fair amount of progress if we stay the course."

We've lost around 3,300 men and women since John McCain said we were 'on the right course'.

And 1,051 since December 2006. You know, the 'year from now' timetable he said in December 2005?

John McCain can't bear the thought of how miserably wrong he was with the Iraq invasion and the asinine occupation.

Five years into this mess he wants to talk about the last four months. The 'surge' is a success? Thirty-nine dead in January isn't 'success'. Neither is wasting $15-$16 billion every month.

But McCain's perpetual lie is what he said initially, and well into, this Iraq fiasco. And unfortunately for him, his words are recorded.

Congratulations McNut, you're #49.
