Now isn't that ironic?

Among the sixteen days for which email are missing from Vice President Cheney's office is Sept. 30, 2003, the same day the day the Justice Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation announced they were investigating who outed former CIA officer Valerie Plame Wilson.
The crime of outing a CIA agent is a violation of the Espionage Act.

Personally I think it was treason. Which as you know, treason during a 'time of war' is punishable by death.

But I also think most people deserve some sort of break. So if Cheney confessed and begged for mercy it would be appropriate to sentence him to life without parole.

And of course, he and his wretched old lady, Lynn, would have to forfeit all of their ill-gotten wealth, too.
