The 'War on Terror'

A White House assessment of the war in Afghanistan has concluded that wide-ranging strategic goals that the Bush administration set for 2007 have not been met, even as U.S. and NATO forces have scored significant combat successes against resurgent Taliban fighters, according to U.S. officials.
Afghanistan --- Do you remember why we went there?

We invaded Afghanistan on October 7, 2001 - 26 days after the terrorists who were freely harbored there, al-Qaeda, attacked us on 9/11. Six years and 51 days ago.

We didn't go to Afghanistan to 'liberate' their people. We went there on a specific mission.

George Bush mislead us away from that mission and then turned it over to N.A.T.O.

... I wonder if he remembers.
