Boy, what would we do without the Australians?

"Australian soldiers will remain in Iraq . . . not based on any calendar but based on conditions on the ground," [Prime Minister John] Howard said during a joint news conference with Bush. "We believe that progress is being made in Iraq, and we do not believe this is any time to signal a scaling down of Australian forces."
Good Ol' Australia -- What would we do without them? A 'coalition of the billing' partner since way back in 2003 and their prime minister Howard has promised Bush they will stay and fight the 'good' fight.

So how many Australians have died in Iraq? Two. That's right -- 2. No, I didn't leave off a digit.

That's half as many Slovakia, but to their credit, it's twice as many as Kazakhstan.

Hey, thanks Howard -- It's always good to know you guys have our backs covered over there.
