Patrolling their streets

"At the time of the attack, the soldiers were in two vehicles "at a stationary observation post trying to interdict terrorists who place roadside bombs," U.S. spokesman Lt. Col. Christopher Garver said.

"There were other observation posts that were trying to do this in the area. They were not moving in a convoy. The entire unit was out operating in this same area," Garver added."

We patrol their streets and act as sitting ducks waiting for some suicide death squad to attack us.

Aren't there enough Iraqis willing to act as cops?

And regardless of what Lt. Col. Garver says, we are too thinly stretched and are now exposing smaller units of our men to these types of attacks.

The Lt. Col. said the 'entire unit was out operating in the same area'? It took an hour for the rescue team to get there.

How could that be?
